W sprzedazy w USA pojawil sie nowy produkt o nazwie FreezePruf, ktory ma poprawiac odpornosc roslin na mroz:
"(...) improves plants’ natural cold tolerance up to 9.4 degrees Fahrenheit, depending on the variety of plant..."
"(...)increases resistance to cold injury and cold mortality by 2.2° to 9.4° Fahrenheit (1.2° to 5.2° Celsius), depending on plant variety..."
"(...) a plant that is hardy to the low-to-mid teens Fahrenheit (Zone 8a) can be grown with little or no damage in Zone 7b..."
W skrocie mrozoodpornosc w teorii zwieksza sie o 1.2-5.2C - pol strefy USDA. Ciekawe jak bedzie w praktyce?

Znalazlem pierwsze opinie uzytkownikow i niestety nie sa one pozytywne. Wkleje oryginalna wypowiedz czlowieka: "Boy, was I disappointed. My low was 28.6 in the coldest part of my yard. I sprayed the product on hundreds of plants. Results...none. My bananas melted, the heliconias bronzed, cannas no more, fuschias fizzled, and my Roystonea borinquena which has endured year after year frosts with no damage has little brownish speckles all over its lower fronds now. The product almost seems to have made my plants MORE sensitive to the cold."
Wiem, ze jedna jaskolka wiosny nie czyni, jednak nie jest to zbyt dobra reklama dla tego preparatu...

Wypowiedz jednej z osob na znanym zagranicznym forum:
Yes it is a complete joke, and I am angry I lost (not quite sure yet) many plants just because they were sprayed with something that was supposed to work but doesn't. I should have wrapped them like I always do
This below is WITH freezepruf after 29 degrees. What a joke.. Even a blanket would have kept them 100% green

Ok, it been a week today since we hit 26 degrees and had snow. My determination is that FreezePruff does not at all live up to its claims (actually improves plants' natural cold tolerance up to 9.4 degrees Fahrenheit, depending on the variety of plant). Obviously tropical plants and palms do not fall under this description.
My mangos are completely defoliated now. All were sprayed with FreezePruff. All of my citrics were also sprayed and are 75% defoliated. The Peanut butter tree is now completely defoliated, sprayed with Freezeproof as well. Both of my Jacarandas were also sprayed and probably completely dead. Both are defoliated and sap is leaking from the trunks.
All of my hibiscus were treated with Anti-Stress 2000 and completely defoliated.
I firmly believe now that both FreezePruff and Anti-Stress 2000 are completely useless. Next year I will not waste another penny on either products or anything similar that come out. The best method is to wrap and use warmth with artificial lighting sources.
Caly czas czekamy na zadowolonych uzytkownikow tego specyfiku...
